Phal. Germaine Vincent (Phal. Violacea x Speciosa)

These orchids have dark red to purple flowers, with darker bars across the petals. These are very fragrant with a sweet and slightly spicy scent. Don’t cut the flower spikes unless they are crispy brown. The flower spikes can flower year after year. Sometimes in the winter with shorter days the flower spikes may stop flowering for a bit until the daylight lengthens. These typically flower from spring to fall but with artificial light they can flower year-round. They do best in warm weather and with low to medium light. in 4″ pot, these orchids are currently not in bloom.
