Found from Burma through southern China, into the coast of Vietnam. This is one of the unique Paph species in that it can be found growing as both a epiphyte or lithophyte. The flowers are unique and covered with tiny hairs. Paph esquirolei is now recognized as a variety of hirsutissimum having shorter hairs on the ovary and peduncle and less hairy flowers. There are recorded albino flowers lacking any purple pigment. They are easy to grow, require filtered or diffused light and should not be exposed to the direct sunlight of the midday sun. Available in blooming size, in a 4” pot, or in a small size in a 3″ pot.
