Phalaenopsis Sanderiana is an orchid in the genus Phalaenopsis that is native to the Philippines. It was named in honor of M. Fredrick Sander. It is a pendant growing epiphyte with epileptic, rounded tip pendulous leaves. It’s a classic Phalaenopsis species that plays a major role in most large, flowered hybrids, flowers last months and blooming season is spring to summer. Water well but let medium dry between waterings. FYI: These are collector orchids and often hard to find. They tend to be smaller in size when you purchase them. This is available in a medium size orchid that comes in a 3 1/2″ pot, that can bloom at any time, and as a very mature seedling in a 3 1/2″ pot. This is a “must have” Phal. and will be a great addition to your collection.
